You will, hopefully notice the extreme change in the background. The fence and buildings have been replaced with trees, and a pine tree has been added in the midground. Additionally, the legs of the bench have been changed from metal to wood, and the sidewalk in the midground has been concealed.
Changes to this photo include, most noticabally, the merging of the two
individuals on the left. The shirt on the right member, was changed to
match the shirt on the left. The blotchy color was chosen because it
looked more "period" than the stripes.
The right most individual began life wearing a bright blue baseball cap,
which was replaced with a steal skull cap, complete with nose guard.
several minor alterations to his clothing, and the immediate background
were made. A reflective spot on the plastic lamp post, and a wrist
watch were also removed.
Just as a note, the gentleman lying on the ground is holding tightly onto
the other's hand and is refusing to let go.
The changes made to this photo are entirely in the background. The cars
have either been blurred or covered over with alternative sections of wall.
The blue sections and the windows were determined to be to detractive from
what the photo was implying, and were also covered. I also added a tree
in the upper left corner.
In the original photo, an arm or finger got in the way of the lens. I
copied and pasted portions of the pine tree in the hopes of extending it.
I really didn't think that the tree would work, but the right portion
looks fairly realistic. The palm tree in the right corner, is actuauly
two mirrored copies of the tree in the left.
Here I am having a "knife fight" with one of my friends.
The buildings in the left background, middle background, and right
background have been replaced with trees. These new trees are entirely
copies of portions of the original trees. It is remarkable how well some
of the branches and leaf patterns match.
This is Grull, the minotaur, and his axe. Grull was unfortunate enough to
be standing in front of a concrete lamp post, which had to be removed to
make the photo free from anacronisms. He also forgot to remove his watch,
I removed it for him. I also replaced the silver cross-members in the
building on the right background so that the entire region would be plain
blue. The sidewalk (see if you can find it) was replaced with plain
ground cover.
The photo has also been cropped to remove some unwanted wite space at the
bottom.
Tristin is being snuck up upon by a large blue building. See it? Just over HIS right shoulder? I took care of it with a little copyandpaste magic.
Unalah, (also known as Rebecca), is shown here proudly posing with her sword. One of these days I am going to get everybody to just take their watches off first. Anyhow, the cars in the right background were covered with assorted branches from the tree. I intend to remove the building on the left, probably by covering it with more trees.
Here is Unalah again, this time with her roommate Emaleth. The trees in the background have been extended to cover rogue buildings in the left and right portions as well as between their heads. There is a little white square right next to the tree to the right. I was upset when I first saw this because I though I put it there. I extended a tree down to cover this spot, only to later realize that it is a "Bob's Baracade" warning of danger!
Again we see Unalah. She is rather photogenic. In this photo, she is swinging her sword, presumedly trying to hack me into little bits. The buildings in the background detract from the whole illusion of being in the middle-ages. I shuffled trees around so that the buildings were disguised.

These photos were edited using relatively advanced, but not top of the line graphics packages, such as xpaint or xv. Additionally, most, if not all, of the backgrounds for the Dagorhir pages were created by me either through freehand drawing or using xpaint. A few of them, little swatches, are scans of things I thought would be interesting, my book bag, a guy's shirt, a leather chair cushin, and empty space.
If you're looking at this page now, come back in about a week, I have some new dagorhir feast pictures I edited. I'll put them on this page in a few days, once I figure out where I want to keep them.
